Scrapping Recipe Challenge #16

Happy Tuesday to you all! It's time for Scrapping Recipe Challenge from Sketches! {by tamara}. Today's Challenge #16. This weeks Recipe came from Linda, one of the Recipe Design Team Members. I was following the propoused recipe and was using real sewing, ribbon and
paper tearing.

First, I stamped winter pattern and snowflakes ("Flurries" set from Inque Boutique) with brown ink on background paper. Then, I stamped sentiment (Delta) with light blue ink in the circle of the winter pattern. Next, I sewed a border around the edges of the panel. Even though I had sponged the edges with Whispers Chestnut ink from Inque Boutique. And next, I Layered the panel to the distressed-edges background paper. I added two blue photo holders to the bottom corners of the panel and layered the panels to a top-folded dark brown card. For the finishing touches, I added green rain dots and blue clipboard with ribbon.

RECIPE:
Stamps: Flurries (Inque Boutique), Sentiment (Delta)
Papers: Brown c.s., Patterned paper (My Mind's Eye)
Inks: Vintage Sepia (Versafine), Chestnut (Inque Boutique)

Baby Memory Box

Happy Friday! This is my first post with my new creations. I am so excited! Just wanted to post a new project I made today. This is a Baby Memory Box for my daughter Polyna. I put inside box things that were a baby's first i.e. toy, socks, hat, spoon, first hair cut...

It is made with Inque Boutique stamps, ribbon and decorative papers. I just love that company! I have a Gallery with my creations on the Inque Boutique web-site. If you haven't seen my creations with Inque Boutique products click here.

O.K. Let's start:-)

For this project you will need: Wooden Memory Box (you can find the Michael's store), wooden small frame, decorative Inque Boutique papers (Isn't it Romantic), Inque Boutique stamp sets (50198 - Mehndi; 50459 - Swirly Borders; 50512 - Starter package, 50772 - 100 Persent, Lil' Stamps Trinkets Assortment), IB ribbon (Isn't it Romantic), ColorBox pigment inks, Apple Green Acrylic paint, Foam brush, Sand paper, Decoupage adhesive, Red ribbon, Black and White photos, Pink craft frame, Craft knife, Mini chipboard album, pearls necklace and stickers.

BOX: Sand the box, inside and out, paint and let dry. Lightly coat the wooden box, inside and out, with decoupage adhesive and adhere pattern paper. Make a cover for the top of the box by stamping patterns on the pattern paper; adhere to the top of the box. Decorate the sides of the top with red ribbon. On the inside of the top of the box adhere a piece of pattern paper. Trim scallop/strip section from pattern paper and adhere onto the pattern paper on the edges of the top. Adhere a craft frame on the inside of the box with a picture of the baby in it and decorate with ribbon. Put things that were a baby’s first i.e. toy, book, socks, spoon…

FRAME: Sand the frame and paint the edges only. Use the frame to trace a piece of pattern paper that would fit onto the frame and cut it out. Using a craft knife make an X- cut in the middle of the pattern paper the frame. Stamp with different designs; adhere to the wood frame with the use of decoupage adhesive. Put a photo of the baby inside the frame. Decorate with a pearl necklace at the end and adhered to the top of the Box.

MINI ALBUM: Cut out a piece of pattern paper, the size of the mini album. Stamp words “100%”, “girl”, and dots and glue to the front side of the album. The other pages I cut out in the same way, stamped phrases, designs, and photos. Put a piece of Inque Boutique ribbon between the paper and the cover and adhere. Rub the edges with green ink.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a WONDERFUL Weekend!
